Default Aux. volume control

New to this so go easy on me! Wondering if anyone knows if there is an internal volume control for the aux. plug on my 07 JK. I use an MP3 capable phone plugged into the aux. plug. For the most part it works great as a hands free but I have to turn the volume up to 38 to hear it, which is okay until I click back to radio My dealer has no idea, any audio guru's out there

Turn the volume up almost all the way on your phone's headphone output. I have to turn my blackberry up past the point where it warns me about hearing loss to make the aux input usable. Hmm, another volume knob that's smarter than I am.

Default thanx

I tried the volume control on my phone which was only at 3/4, so it has made a difference but it still requires a setting in the high 20-30. Maybe my phone quality is in question, it couldn't be the JEEP

Could be a bad cable between your phone and AUX in... but if you really need it louder, you can try something like this:

or slightly more expensive and more visually appealing:

I recall some thread on some forum saying that the amp on the aux port is pretty poor, but I have no idea whether that is true or not. I have to turn up my Blackberry pretty high too, and then still crank up the volume on the radio...

when i plug in my iPod, i just turn my iPod all the way up so it puts out alot, then just adjust the stereo to where it needs to be, it could be the wire. this is because there are diff kinds of wires like on headphone wire could only work the right sided speakers, thus making you get another kind that powers both sides oof speakers..it happened to me so i figured i'd throw it out there.. everything works fine for me now though, just turn up your device all the way, it's like a dual systemeither turn the stereo up all the way and control volume from the device or vise versa..
