That looks like you need to aim that camera down some. I'm pretty sure all 3 of those lines on the screen are supposed to be on the pavement behind you.

O.K since the pic I hid all my wiring but here goes. The Lockpick simply is a plug-inbetween type harness that A: enables features that are normally locked out of the OEM Jeep MyGig RER head units (I am talkin' up to 2010). Things like nav changes , DvD on the Go , and camera modes (3 of them)

For ME anyhow being I have a tire carrier was to firstly mount camera. and 2nd add 3rd brake light. Just so happens that AEV has a 3rd brake light kit (The 3 bulb thingy under the camera) that comes with a really Diesel mounting plate and just so happens that my camera sits atop the bracket beautifly. Install calls for the third brake light to sit on top of the bracket. I went and mounted it UNDER the bracket and mounted the camera on top. VIOLA a dual pourpose bracket.

Now for the wiring all you need is a V12+ power source (I tied into the backup lamp) and a decent RCA video cable (Yellow) that runs from the camera up to where you mount (Wherever that may be) your lockpick. From there just plug in the RCA's and test.

RECAP:

Bracket / 3rd brake light ... AEV
Lockpick .... Ebay or Coastaltech's actual website but ebay for savings sure can help
and again the camera is a Pyle PLCMB20 and can be found on Amazon or EBAY
Radio shack for video RCA cable ... 20' if memory serves to allow for nice out of sight routing through the interior nicey neat.

Because of where I chose to install the camera, re-aiming isn't an option, so I re-purposed the lines...each one is useful for a different backing situation. Looks a bit odd but actually works well.

I have a flush mounted camera! It gives it a clean look! The image is very clear.

I went for the receiver hitch. Well protected and I just unplug and pull it out if I need to use the hitch for something else.

Anyway the IR cams like this one has a 122* field of view so to take advantage of it I went with a nice high spot to mount it. There are a ton of smaller cameras out there however the IR on this unit shows a GOOD 30 feet behind the Jeep in near zero light. Much more (Prolly 60 feet) with just the backup lights on
Do you have a link to this camera? I'm not happy with my current one.

^ I like this. But being that your camera is mounted on the back side of the wheel, does that impair your field of vision or reduce it in any way?
