It is nice and need, but the $300 plus for the install is a bit steep I think. We will have to rethink this option.

Install looks nice but might have to rethink the mounting spot. The view of the tire in the screen seems to be in the way and i can see it being annoying.

I don't know why they haven't made this a factory option already. The rearward visibility is horrible. Especially low to the ground (kids etc). I love the idea of being able to use factory equipment to remedy the problem. I wonder if the factory camera could be mounted to a insert for the receiver hitch? Seems like that would get the tire out of view and you wouldn't need it if you were towing anyway.

You’re very right ^, I know the tire looks like it would be a big hindrance and I thought it was going to be too but it’s really not. The tire doesnt block anything that has to do with backing up. After having it a few weeks now I really like it. It’s very useful especially when parallel parking. I’m glad I did it; I just didn’t like the idea of the other option, the lock-pick thing and taking the dash apart myself.
