Yeah, I read everything you have posted - a few times.

I get your radio is stock, I was asking if your STOCK radio was the basic or top of the line offering - possibly with a nasty big cap.

I'll leave you to it.

Well it came with the Jeep, not sure what you mean by nasty cover but its the one who play DVD (not bluray)

As its new year eve, I'll play with the GF instead of the Jeep tonight hehe

Creepy was trying to help you out by cap he meant capacitor, which is almost like a small battery inside your radio that keeps your settings by holding a small charge. If the capacitor isn't functioning correctly then you may see increased drain on the radio circuit.

Ask more questions, jump to fewer conclusions. The jeep will carry you down the road to your job, I don't believe the same can be said for your GF.
