Default best driving/fog lights for future upgrades

i am going to order windshield mounted driving lights and possibly bumper mounted fogs. my only concern is whether or not the KC slimlites can be upgraded to HID's or should i go with the Daylighters? I will keep them as is for the winter probably but intend to upgrade the fogs to 3000k HID and the driving lights to 4500-6000k hid. which would you put up on the windshield mount, driving or flood pattern? why? thanks!

Spot or driving on the windshield to reduce glare off the hood and fog or flood in the bumper for a wide light pattern

I'm honestly not sure on those. I know the housing on the daylighters is a lot bigger so has more room internally. You might search for hid conversion on those lights or call KC directly

If I were going to put lights on windshield mounts, I'd use small spots like Baja Designs Fuegos. They are pricey, but tough to beat on output and construction. HIDs are the way to go if they are in your budget. I'd wait and put on what I wanted rather than getting something I plan on "upgrading". That never works out for me. I tend to "replace".
