Default the blinding blue light

Is anybody else is bothered by this?

I don't drive that much at night... but now that summer has ended and the days are shorter, I am driving home from work in the dark.

I don't often find a need for my brights but- when I do, I find that I will turn them back off due the the blinding blue light in my display.
Gads you can dim everything else- but not that damn blue light!
It is like a beacon!
I can barely see the road when it is shining in my face....

I was thinking of puting something over it- but haven't figured out what.

Any thoughts?

there's an intensity adjustment on the turn signal/high beam lever. It sound like you have it maxed out. There are several positions for the dome light to turn on when the door is opened and delayed off when closed. Its really a bad place for the dome light/cluster light switch. Its a pita when your are trying to change a setting going down a dark county road and turn the headlights off by mistake.

Maybe I am not finding the lever- I will try it again.

I know I can turn down the other lights in the instrument panel- but that one stays lit up like a Christmas tree.

You're not alone, I find it kind of annoying that you can dim everything BUT the high beam light.

That's me driving at night and there is no adjustment for it. I need my brights because of all the deer out this way. I was using my KC's, but a very nice state patrolman gave me a instead of a ticket the other night. The steering wheel adjustment doesn't seem to fit into my comfort zone. I've started looking for some of that sticky film with some kind of dark tint on it. Pickin's are slim for that kind of stuff in this little burg though.

I can't seem to find the thread off hand, but I know I read one where people were putting some of the window tint over the blue light. It doesn't make it go away, but it reduces the intensity.

I have seen the thread on the tint also, it seemed like a good idea.
