Intalled a Garman 60CSx. Very nice unit with adjustable mount. Can point straight back for view for all or angle towards me. Bracket pops right out to put in arm rest locked and out of site when not in use. Also, removes easy for hiking.

I like it the bracket looks like it's made for the jeep! Plus, I like your super-stealth "hat trick" to keep the base for the mount hidden (at least that's what I assume you're doing)!!

That is a great unit. I like Garmin's options for mounts. I've got a Nuvi 350 that I move from car to car very easily because of those mounts.
The other thing I like about Garmin is that they lock onto satellites quickly and hold onto them.

That's a great setup and I agree about that mount is made for that center plate. Unfortunately after about two months the sun burnt the adhesive and the mount fell off. I'm trying to decide whether to mount some hardware underneath and permanently screwing it to the panel, or go for some major epoxy. I'm also sort of considering getting that Daystar top panel replacement and doing something with that. Although $49 seems a little steep and I don't know what they do about the compass sensor underneath.

Well. I hope mine stays put. Here in Phx, we really test the sun melt.

Looks sharp! I had a very similar setup for my colorado trip. After I was done I sold the unit on ebay and almost got every cent back that I paid for the unit. I really like the portable units because they are obviously really easy to put away, and those handhelds are great if you feel like hiking.

Next one I get will be a color unit similar to yours.

I have the 60csx too. It's anawesome unit, and extremely accurate I have found. I use mostly for backcountry hiking and backpacking. It has gotten me back on track numerous times, lol.
