Default CB wire extensions?

I'm going to be moving my CB radio from under the glovebox to the driver side lower console. Like this:

But the wire that came with the radio won't reach that area. What type/kind of wire do I need to get to make this reach.
Basically what I'm asking is what do I need to buy to make the power wire reach this area from the battery?
Specifics would be appreciated.

I think you think that we're seeing a figure that we're not actually seeing. At least I'm not.

But.....the stock wires on my Uniden 510 (which didn't work out of the box and is a total lemon and I now have to remove) wouldn't reach from my Tuffy console area to the battery, so I bought some marine grade 16 AWG stranded wire and marine grade butt connectors and crimped the new extra length on at the end of the stock hot wire. I put it in some wire loom, and ran it under the dash, through the firewall on the pax side and straight to the battery. Works fine. The stock ground was long enough to reach a known ground on the tranny hump.

NOTE: The stock wire (attached to the CB) didn't say what the wire gauge was, so I brought it into the shop and asked the tech what he thought and we matched it to 16 gauge. I went the "marine grade" route to mitigate the Maryland rainy weather.

ps note: I'm not slamming Uniden by any stretch!! I'm simply venting my frustration that I just HAD to be the ONE PERSON who gets the 1 in 1.9 million that DIDN'T work out of the box (no sound from internal speaker, and yes, I tried all 3 knobs and one switch) and couldn't find that out til he already had it hooked up and installed in his console! Just venting..............AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Not much help here
But anyways, I'll probably be going to my local Auto Zone or any other store that would have the things I need for this.

All you need it new wire from radio shack or autozone etc. If you want the same color combo you got going on there go to readio shack. They have a spool or 16 guage wire there (I think it's 16 guage anyway) that is red and black. It's the same size as the wiring on your CB now. Pick up a cpl tubes of heat shrink tubing. Go home, cut, solder in the new wire, cover with heat shrink on each wire leg, then a bigger one on the outside (makes the wire look like one peice) and your done.

16 guage wire will be fine for you CB.

Dude, how specific do you need?? We couldn't spell it out any plainer. What don't you understand??? Just ask. If you are not familiar with terms, we can explain them no problem. There is enough talent on the board to help you no matter whether you are a newbie or one who wants to become a newbie.

Beware what those folks at the auto zone type shops tell you. Those guys are geared for race cars and street bling boom machines that would knock Washington's face off Rushmore as soon as you turned on the radio. I was looking for an in-line fuse for my CB, to put near the battery, and I didn't know quite what size to get. Now, I was pretty sure it'd be only 10 amp at the most or 5 amp. But this guy tells me "oh, no, you need a 20 or a 15 because just the regular radio on a car has a 20 amp fuse. My CB draws 1.7 amps max, I found out when I got home. I put in a 10 amp job.
