Confused...UConnect Starscan?
From everything I'm reading, if you have an RER version of the radio, you can program the UConnect yourself and not bring it into the dealer for Starscan programming?
What exactly is Starscan programming?
Like many others on here, I hate bringing my Jeep into the dealership... Hate dealing with the BS/lies/headaches.
Please let me know what I'd need to get the UConnect up and running!!!
Thanks in advance

I'm always confused on the letter designations for the radio, but it breaks down like this:
Mygig = no starscan needed only a software update and a mic
Single or 6 disc = you DO need to have it starscanned and buy the uconnect module w/mic

Souvlaki,
you must have software version 9.713 (or higher) then you press the MENU, SEEK UP and SEEK DOWN keys all at the same time, then release, you should then be in the engineering mode and the option is in there somewhere. to exit engineering mode you hit the MENU key again. If you have any problems let me know and ill check on mine to see exactly where i found it.
