Default Connectors

Does anyone know if you can replace just a connector or if you have to replace the whole harness.

I hit a deer last month and the shop that did the repair cut all kinds of corners. I'm tired of finding the problems.

Seems the connector lock on my front left blinker is broken. If they can be replaced, is there a special tool to get the wire out?

You can always replace connectors. Finding them may be the problem...

I just don't want to splice. I'll go after the insurance co. to pay for a new harness first.

I work aircraft wiring and there is usually a special pin extractor to get them out.

Pigtail sounds like splicing. This left front blinker goes into a larger harness.

I went to the dealer today and was able to order just the connector. Some other ones were not available but some are.

They can be found but it takes some research. Most are manufactured by Delphi. They can be found on sites like Mouser, Newark and Jameco. Just add a .com to any of those. The product lines are MetriPack and WeatherPack. The bulb connectors can also be found at automotive specialty sites or shops.

Good Luck.

Got it today. Took all of 5 minutes to get the old wires out and the new connector in.
