Default Curious...

I was looking at the stereo in the boat today. Marine cd player, with the plastic cover that folds down over the face to keep water out. (also on some hot tubs) My question is, would there be any reason why I wouldnt be able to put one in my JK? Sounds good to me. It would keep out dirt, or mud, or rain if I got caught with my top off.

I cant think of any. Seriously. I have also seen just the flip cover that fits on any CD player. So you shouldnt be stuck buying one that has one already.

There shouldn't be any issues with a marine radio I would think. They are essentially the same except the wires are usually treated for corrosion and sometimes they have covers and such, as you suggested. They are just usually more expensive, and harder to find parts for, etc....

Other than that I don't see any issue using one, but seems like overkill if you ask me.

It's certainly not a bad idea, especially if you regularly leave the windows down/off and/or the top down. This spring I was constantly cleaning pollen off of the felt on the CD slot. A cover would be nice.
