DroidX2 sms sync
Mine worked until I installed a text messsging app from the market. Now it won't work with the radio because the 3 party doesn't due bluetooth. Are u using the stock text messanger on your phone?
I was originally using a market sms app..then i uninstalled that thinking that was the issue. Im in the process now of doing a factory reset on the phone and will see what happens then.
Fingers crossed.
The only other thing I can think of is that you have SMS turned off in the radio menu in the jeep. there is a way, if you go into the voice prompts and set up the radio that it will let you turn it on and off. try that.
I did some digging and found this;
Droid Incredible 2;
Bluetooth Profiles: Bluetooth Headset, Hands free, SPP, A2DP, AVRCP, GAVDP, AVDTP, AVCTP, OPP (Vcard, Music, Album, Cal), PBAP, FTP (Server
Side only)
Droid X 2;
Bluetooth Profiles: Stereo Bluetooth Class 1.5, Version 2.1 + EDR (support profiles A2DP, AVRCP, GAP, GAVDP, GOEP, HFP, HID, HSP,MAP, OPP, PAN, PBAP, SPP)
I read somewhere that "MAP" is the profile that the 2011 Uconnect radios use for SMS message processing. If your phone doesn't have/use MAP, no SMS on the 2011's. I don't know about 2012's or previous years.

That's one thing that is strange about the bluetooth specification profiles....a device can say they support certain profiles, but that doesn't mean they have to "fully" support that profile. So what I have come to discover during my testing is that the Droids do not currently support the SMS function of the "MAP" profile but it supports the Email function of MAP. Maybe the Droid's will be coming out with an update to include this functionality?
The only phone that I have found which fully supports the MAP bluetooth profile currently is newer Blackberry phones. So I'm willing to bet that if you pair a Blackberry Torch with the same radio, then SMS will work with that phone.....at least that's what I've found in my testing.

Another word of caution with the Droid's when pairing. When another device tries to pair with the DROID and access the message access profile via bluetooth, the Droid's by default will block access to the messages on your phone, where you will see a pull down menu appear in the top left on the Droid, where you need to go and then select "Allow access to messages". That's also the case with the PBAP on the Droids. So if you don't see your phone book entries showing up on the radio, it's because you most likely have to grant access to the Phone book on the phone side.
