Default Ebay 7" Projector Lights

So has anyone tried to use a set of housings for an earlier Jeep? These aren't "true" projectors, but they could work very well for an HID conversion and control the light better than the factory crap housings... I wasn't sure though if the JK is compatible for a TJ housing.?.?.?

Thanks for any input...

i've looked at these also, from what i understand the beam pattern is not great with these. But i have no first hand experience with them... i went with the IPF's and when i have enough cash going to swap in some HID's

Even with IPF's I would think you will still have issues with the HID's throwing light all over the place and in the face of on-coming drivers. I was thinking if these semi-projector housings do even a somewhat good job at putting the light more in your own lane and down the road a bit more they should be a lot safer for other drivers.

I just to do want to be one of those dickheads blind the crap out of everyone else because I have HID's in a standard housing.

I have HIDs in the stock housings and with proper aiming they work pretty well. I guess it depends on how the H13 conversion bulb is designed. Before that I had Silverstars and they helped, but the stock reflectors were limiting.

I'm sure HIDs with projectors would be better, but to me the ones pictured look like crap.

I tried HIDs in Hella H4 housings, which have a much more defined beam than the stock housings, and even in those the HIDs spread too far and I decided to put halogens back in. The stock H13 housings are much worse.

You really need a real projector for the HIDs to work. But if you want to be a jerk and blind everyone then just run whatever.

I haven't gotten flashed once since installing my HIDs, whereas I got flashed often when I had the Silverstars in. I don't know what it is about my HID kit, but the beam is pretty well defined and actually has less glare than many OE HIDs. If I constantly blinded people, I wouldn't use them.
