Default Electrical issues causing A/C failure??

So over the last week I have had at least 4 occasions where my AC has failed to come on when I've started my JK. At the same time, my Icom fire department radio (hooked directly to the battery) has displayed a goofed up screen(not displaying proper text) and has not received radio traffic properly.

The last two times this has happened I had my android phone running the Torque ODBII program. I was able to confirm that I had over 13volts of power in my system when the AC failed to start.

I have lots of accessories in my JK. My Icom Fire department radio, a CB, my FD emergency lights, Hella 500s, LED floods in my rear bumper, LEDs under my rocker panels and a couple extra 12v outlets in the cab. When the A/C gave me troubles, the only things on were my Icom radio, the stereo, and my phone and gps were plugged into 12v outlets. All my accessories are run directly from the battery through several fuses and a power distro strip in the cab near the passenger side dash endcap.

When the problem first surfaced, I did turn everything off (radios) and turn the jeep off. I restarted the Jeep with accessories off, and the A/C still didn't come on. After driving down the road for a mile or so, it came back on every time. During the last instance of trouble this evening the A/V seemed to surge on and off several times before it ran for good.

Any ideas??

Have look at the harness connection at the fuse box. Maybe it has come loose. If I were you I would disconnect every acc, just to see if the A/C starts acting funny. If it does, you have eliminated all the other stuff as a problem.

Serg, I'll pull the main fuses to my accessories tonight and see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks,
Micah

Well, it's happened several more times since my original post. I pulled the fuses to all my aftermarket electrical stuff, and it didnt change a thing.

Now that the temps are finally going down a little, the problem hasent sufraced anymore.

Any ideas???

So it happened again yesterday while I was out geocaching with my family.

Anytime the air temp was in the upper 80s, and my RPMs were bellow 1500, the A/C and fan kicked off. Like clockwork. Pull away from a stopsign, the RPMs go up, tha AC and fan come back on. After some rain showers moved thru and the air temp dropped to about 80, it didn't happen.

Thoughts?
