Default Factory fog light flash

Does anybody know if its possible for the dealer to flash computer for factory fog light before they are installed. I want to have them flashed during state inspection this week just haven't had time to finish install.

I don't think it's flash issue, mine didn't come with fogs either. When you you use the mopar wiring harness, you change out the blinker stick, so you can pull out on it to turn your fogs on. and tap into the low beam lead to draw power so they turn off with your high beams.

I had the dealer flash mine before I had gotten around to putting the fog lights in and had no problems. Did not have any issues before I got the fog lights installed and once I got around to installing them it just worked.

thats odd...maybe my buddy just got lucky...he leased a 08 jk X that was pretty basiclast year just before they ended leasing...The dealer sold it to him with all the options promising to order the parts and install it for him when they came ( OEM fogs in bumpr, side steps, front and rear tow hooks) the only option they installed for him at the time of delivery was the Infinity sound with sub.

Needless to say the dealer kept stringing him along never got the parts in blah blah blah...despite me pushing him to bitch and complain since he paid for it (and got himself a pretty crappy deal if you ask me but he didn't prior to the purchase so not my problem...ne way) he wound up in a minor accident needing a new bumper, hood, grill, and headlights. So we sourced around the classifieds here got most of the stuff (less grill, hood and lights) free or trade for beer including a sahara front bumper with fogs and hooks. So I went to the dealer with him and demanded they give me the harness and directional stalk for fogs. They gave me the parts I installed it and it just worked.

Maybe we just got lucky, maybe cuz I disconnected the battery during the install so it reset the computer rebooting to recognize the fogs once they were in? or perhaps when the dealer flashed the infinti sound they just turned everthing else on to save themselves the time down the road..guess I'll never know. And all this typing was prolly just me wasting anyone who's reading's time and energy since there is no concusive answer or trick...

Sorry for wasting your time. lol good luck with those fogs man.
