pull the terminals off the battery, clean, and lube them up. should help some, especially since you added lights could be a less than ideal contact area.
it happened to mine i took it in. they said a computer malfuction causes it to think it is in gear when using to remote. they fixed it and no problem since. it was covered under warranty

Thanks. All great ideas. I will get the battery and remote system checked by the dealer. I believe I have a recall to get done anyway. If anything comes back it should all be covered under warranty. I will post any findings. I also noticed headlights fluctuating in intensity when sitting at a red light. No other lighting or drain at the same time. Just thought it was odd or possibly relevant. Never noticed before.
