Default Factory Sub cable

Im tired of searching tonight and I know I cant be the only one trying to cut corners and save money heres the problem.

I have a Sub/Amp set up I have used in previous vehicles i want to run in the Jeep. I will run all the wireing but where can I draw a signal to the amp from?

Can you get an adapter that will transfer the wireing harness on the factory sub to connect to the RCA jacks on the amp?

I had this done on my Honda the guys at CarToys said it was drawing the signal off the rear speakers. I dont have the money or care to take it back to cartoys when it should be easy to do.

Any help would be great!

Thanks.

The amp is a Rockford Fosgate P500

by speaker level inputs you are talking about using speaker wire instead of the RCA jacks? If so... then no it does not.

The way it was done before I was able to use the RCA hook ups, then I ran a gain control next to the shifter.

Have you tried a simple Line output converter? You can get one for like $15 and you can tap it off the factory stock sub feeds as they arent amplified that much.

That line output converter seems to be what I am looking for,

can you connect that to the factory sub cable or do you have to run it from your rear speaker bar?

Either will work. Purists will tell you speaker wiring is better, but the factory sub signal is weak so no issue amplifying that signal. I've done both and can't tell the difference. One tip...get a LOC with trigger so you can easily make your sub amp only come on when radio is on. Will save your battery!

Let us know how you like the new system after you get it all together.
