Big surprise but the factory tweeters on the new 2010 Rubicon are crackling. Dealer ordered new tweeters but want to do a TSB to adjust the amp. Has anyone else had the TSB done? Did it fix the issue?

 

I am having the same issue with my 2010 Sahara. I would be curious as well.

FYI, you both have the infinity - not the base radio. The Rubicons come with Infinity systems standard.

I have the infinity and I am wondering what the dealership is wanting to do with my amp to correct the problem. I can't get a clear answer from the Service mgr as to what exactly they will change in it amplifier settings when they "Tweak it" as they put it.

 

Mine have the same sound. Just left my local stereo shop. Replacing the sound bar speakers and under dash speakers with Memphis M Class 6.5" speakers. The shop owner has a 2009 JK and he did the same. Says by adding the better speakers with tweeters in them I can back the treble off on the head unit and won't get the cracking sound. I listened to his and it sounded great.
