please let us know how it goes! my '10 sahara tweeters (if thats what the ones on the dash are called) have been crackly almost since day 1 (29DEC), i just got used to it

Took it in today. Come to find out, the parts person is the one who said it had a TSB. The mechanic looked and the TSB only applied to the 2008 model. He hooked up anyway and found no option at all to make any adjustments to the Infinity radio.

We put the new tweeters in and same thing. I had been using the I-Pod, so I checked multiple songs and wrote down all the songs I noticed over-powering the tweeters. When I got home, I got those CDs out and checked each of them. No crackling! Looks like the I-Pod is putting out too much signal and distorting the sound.

thanks for the update! really interesting. You put the CDs in the jeep i assume? I've listened to the ACC versions with the ipod on speakers/ with headphones and heard a difference from the jeep speakers, but i guess putting the CD in the jeep would be the only way to check only the speakers. good idea!
