Default Fire Wall Hole/access

This is not the same Jeep as my 97. Where/how do I route a cable through the fire wall so I can connect a power cable to the battery. I can not find the rubber gromet type penetrations. Help!!:embarrase d:

If you have a hard-top, follow the rear windshield washer fluid hose (close to brake booster on driver's side). You can cut a slot in the grommet between the hose and edge, then seal it up with some silicone. If you have an auto, there's also a grommet where the clutch would be on a manual. I have a manual, so used the washer fluid grommet. There are also two others between the tub and body panel. You have to push through some foam and you end up behind the dash. Remove the side panels to the dash - the ones you can only see when the doors are open. Then near the top you'll see a whole with some foam behind it. You can push through this with a coat hanger.

Let me know if you need more info.

There is an opening on the drivers side lateral to the steering wheel housing. It's by itself. It has a thin covering like a plastic bag. I used that, and just poked though it while trying to maintain it's integrety.

I found a grommet under the dash on the passenger side that leads up to the battery. If you get down there where you would disconnect the cable to take off your doors, look up and you should see it. Big black piece of rubber.

I purchased the DC alarm, which suggests the one on the driver side just above and right of the steering. It is a black round spot and I just pushed a small screw driver through and pulled my wire into the engine compartment. (Like bOLsAK=3 said, while trying to keep its integrity) Then I wire tied it to the wires running on the firewall to the battery side.
Worked for me.
Best of luck to you.

unscrew by hand and remove the heater vent on the drivers side (half a turn) then you can take off the side panel it just pops out, you will then see some beige colored foam use a coat hanger to make the hole tie you wire to this when you have pushed through and pull back voila done.
