Default Fog Light Hookup

I bought an '07 JK and it came with a factory bumper. Apparently the guy had aftermarket front bumper and he kept it. The bumper has factory fog lights but the switch is not set up for the fog lights. I know I can buy the switch where I can wire it up to work the lights. I was just wondering if I can just rig up wires to the for lights or do I have to have a special adaptor to make it work with a rocker switch. Any help will be appreciated.

I would just run new wiring, a solenoid, and a switch.

Just wondering why you say the switch isn't set up to work the fog lights. What is the switch doing now. If everything is there. But had previously been disconnected. You should be able to just reconnect it.

You can purchase an aftermarket harness at your local automotive store. Then just simply wire the lights with the new harness.

He probably had aftermarket lights tapped into that switch or ran no lights at all. You should be able to reconnect it or run new wiring into either that switch or run a whole new switch. Definitely tap a solenoid or a fuse into the line though if you run a new switch.

If its a sport it didn't have the switch with the fog light pull out...I think that's what he's trying to say... He's going to replace it with one that does.. It would just be easier to either tap your factory lights or run new wires to a rocker switch...IMO
