Default Kc apollo wiring question

I searched some tonight but haven't found anything set in stone yet. Im installing some KC Apollo 55 watt lights on my new smittybilt stinger bumper. Since they are 55 watt they Should be able to be run by the stock fog light wiring right? Or will it mess with the CANBUS system? Thanks!

On my 09 I am running (2) 55 watt fog lamps with no issue. I cant remember what year but Jeep changed the wattage on the fog lamps. Yours has a lower wattage than other years and the CANBUS system will most likely complain (shut down) that circuit.

What I would recommend doing is installing a relay but still using one of the hot leads from the fog lamp circuit as a trigger to turn on the relay.

Agreed, anything over 40 watts is playing with fire....
