Default Garage door opener

Just got around to installing this. I picked up a overhead garage door opener out of a 1997 Chevy s-10 on eBay and modified it into my JKU. Very easy to do and works great. Newbie at this hope the pics go through.

they are 12v DC off the car.

wire it hot all the time, so you don't need the key on to open your GDO.

Just a warning with this... it keeps your garage very unsecure. If you run a hard top year round that is one thing... but soft top, roof off/doors off/etc... Anyone malicious can gain access to your garage.

I'd personally wire it via relay so it only functions when keys are at least in the ignition.

I did wire this to the ignition just for that reason It has 3 wires ( ignition ,ground & illumination) no need for relays it's all built into the unit.

It uses such a low load less than an amp that no relay is needed for this application. OP great job too.
