OK, so my MyGIG is on the way, as is my LockPick, and Rear View Camera, but I dont know where I want to mount it? Where have you guys mounted yours? Got pics? I would love to find a nice hidden spot, preferably maybe under the bumper area, any help with mounting and how to run the wire would be great...

I mounted the camera at the upper right license plate hole as that is not used by Jeep. Ran the wires behind the lic. plate mount and tail light assembly into interior then under carpeting to front console. The camera was rotatable within it's own mount to allow leveling the view on the nav. screen. The cool feature of lockpick is that it allows the camera to operate with reverse gear and/or continuously such as when towing a trailer.

I mounted mind on the spare tire carrier. The wires are routed to the rear gate using the existing wiring harness for the tail/brake lights holes. The camera's view is partially obstructed by the wheel spokes but it is still a pretty wide view. I like this position better than the bumper mount option because it looks down vice looking up. If you were towing, you would see very much if you mounted the camera on the bumber.

Glad you asked, I just installed mine last week! The Warn rear bumper has a perfect spot for a rear view camera and/or a rear brake light. Next time I have the bumper off, i will recess it so it doesn't stick out. It works like a charm on the road and has some other benefits too. A young lady at the gas station was standing behind my Jeep in a mini-skirt and I got to see a little muffin while sitting in the front seat.

I installed my rear view camera inside the spare with a small homemade bracket to extend it out through the upper wheel spokes, so the view is not obstructed. Just a word of advice: make sure the bracket is quite solid else the camera/view will shake while in motion.

ok my cam finally came today but I can't figure out any good place to mount it on the factory rear bumper. I don't think the spare tire mount will work because of my new wheels. Any one mount it one the factory rear bumper???

Seems like you could drill a peep-hole in the plastic pretty easily.
