Default Hella Black Magic Problem

I've followed the wiring diagram and my lights aren't working. I have the Red (30) wire connected to the + terminal from the harness, the Black (87) wire connected to the lights from the harness, the Blue (85) grounded from the harness, and finally the Yellow (86) wire connected to the positive black wire running my fog lights. I'm assuming the issue is the Yellow wire but I don't understand why. My fog lights I installed using the factory fog light wiring so I never had an issue. What is wrong with my wiring and what do I need to fix it? I want my Black Magic lights to come on with my fog lights. Any advice?

What switch are you running? Did you check your grounds? Did you double check the order of the wires to the switch? Did you power the switch ( that was my mistake first time)

I was attempting to run them off my factory fog light harness which already has some hella fog lights working. I checked all the connections and everything is good. Just no power, I'm going to test out some other wiring options today and see what works.

Did you check to see if you blew the fuse when you disconnected to old fog lights? Also the first light in the circuit is the drivers side try only that light and see if it works.

I also own the Hella Black Magic, and Im pretty sure they are 100w each.

Id say you tripped the breaker/fuse. Easy way to check the light is to use jumper cables direct to the battery...if it lights, you have a wiring problem
Mine are 55w each, but I ran them to the supplied switch. I'm not going to be much help here, but x2 on the fuse if you haven't checked it yet!

It must have been the factory wiring, I ran both the power and the relay to the battery with a switch and it worked just fine. Thanks for all the advice though!

Did the factory fogs come on when you turned on the switch?

No, when I spliced into the fog lights both the fog lights and the driving lights didnt come on. but with only one set running off the wires they worked.

Very true. I wasted 3 hours trying to get those lights to work with my fog lights but after weighing the pros and cons (mainly less power to the lights and a good chance of getting harrassed by the police) I just ran both the power and relay to the battery with a switch coming out of my left speaker. Now I just need a good looking switch and a place to put it.
