I just installed mine...well, mostly. It's in, but it is secured to the dash with cable ties temporarily. My long term plan is to complete the installation with a Rugged Ridge Dash Organizer. It has CB mounting features integrated into it. This way I figure I can remove the radio when the top is off and the CB is not in use, which is pretty often. Here's a pic from the Quadratec web site.

Here is what I did for the antenna. I bought the Firestik Firefly LG3-M2 antenna with side mount kit. For $50 you get a Firefly antenna (mine is 3 ft long, hence LG3) the side mount, and an 18 foot long cable. I mounted mine on the backside of the License plate mounting bracket. Pics of the kit and a paper template showing the location. are below.

Glad I could help. I'm loving mine where I have it. That antenna mount is da bomb too. Sweet, simple, no exposed cables. No grounding issues. Transmission is "crystal" clear (I threw that in there for you). You likey?
