Default Help! Led light bar stopped working!

I flipped the switch and nothing happened. The inline fuse is good, and the relay clicked. Im not really good with electronics, so be easy on me please!

Probably an open circuit in 1 of the wires coming from the LED to the relay. If there's a ton of vibration and kinking of the wire(s), it may have been enough to break the core/strand over time.

Worse case a wire or component may have vibrated loose from the circuit board assembly or a component fried itself.

Open circuit wires outside of the LED housing are easy to check for.

On the other hand, if you open the LED housing up and see that a component has vibrated loose and the board was wave soldered (most likely the case if it's a cheap chinese made circuit board) then it's an easy fix assuming the component is still in working condition and didn't fry itself.

If they used SMT/surface mount technology then you're pretty much SOL as it can be pretty difficult to solder a component back on without shorting the whole board out depending how the printed circuit is laid out or frying a component since you have to bring the board/connection up to high temps (using a heat gun) for liquid flux.

So in your case, it might just be easier to return it if still under warranty or just buy a new one if all of this is Japanese to you.

My 2 cents.

What kind of relay is it that it's weird? How many pins? Are the pins labelled? Schematic printed on it? Pics?

I'm surprised it's the relay since it clicked.

I would ensure it is grounded properly. I had 2 evenings of troubleshooting wasted all because I didn't check the ground first.

So after a while I flipped the switch just out of curiosity. It came on for a few seconds with a high pitched buzzing sound. Haven't got the time to dig into it recently, but I did find the relay online.

Sorry for the late response, forgot to look at my notifications
