Default Help! Need your profesional opinion PLEASE!!!

Ok, hey guys! I need some help with this decision. I know nothing about speakers and want to know if this is a good deal. My friend offered me the following for $7O, What is your opinion on these?

My friend is offering me all of it for $70 and I would like to know if you think it is worth it.

Now my concerns are; I have never herd of this brand and there is a hole in the cone. Although I may only use one Subwoofer anyways, if i choose to use two is that sube reparable, he claims it still works but I am not so sure. Lastly will this amp be able to push my speakers too orI have to buy another amp to push the speakers, or both?

So, my question still stands, is this worth it for 70 bucks or should I not waste my time with this brand/setup.

Thanks!
Matt

PS: the amp is a jensen xa2125, and the sub is a mtx audio road thunder.

Hmmmm.... did you hear it when it was installed in your friend vehicle? That should help you with your decision making process.

the speakers can be pulled and upgraded easily enough. If there's a hole in one, it may work, but wont sound right.
I cant tell by your pic - what's the amp?

Its a Jensen XA2125. I dont think its the highest quality amp . I think I might end up getting new equipment rather then this unless this is a extraordinary set up lol.

That amp is only 125 watts x 2 channels. This means - it'll probably push those two (low end) subs...eh...ok, but should you ever upgrade them, you'll need another amp.

If in your shoes - Id pass.

Ok thank you! Now if you don't mind me asking what would you recommend as a set up? I have been really looking into kicker. I also want to hook up the amp to my current speakers if possible and recommended lol.

If you're willing to spend the money or want to, save yourself time and money (in the long run) and get a Rockford Fosgate or JL setup. You won't regret it at all. I personally would never waste my time with kicker. But I also love audio and went audio first when I go my Jeep and it's a moving concert. It's insane.
