Default Help please!

So, I'm an idiot. Went out with buddies and left the sunrider open during a downpour. My 2012 2drs interior got soaked. First issue, the headlights wouldn't turn on. I pulled off the negative terminal for a minute then they came back on. Now, when I start up the Jeep, the defrost light keeps blinking. I can get air and change the intensity of the air coming out, but the mixing knob allowing me to change where the air comes from is inoperable. Any ideas? I'd much rather fix this myself than pay out the a$$.

You are going to have to dry it out. Leave it in the sun with the top down. Then remove the battery cable. Air circulation will help as well

I've heard the 2012+ have an electronic HVAC control module. Would this be plug and play if that got fried?

It does and its easy to get out. 4 Bolts to Pull the Cowl then pull the panel that clips in. I messed with it trying to get lighted power for my locker switches.

Yea I agree you'll have to dry everything out. Don't forget to pull all your carpets out and pull all the plugs in the floorpan. Let the carpets hang somewhere to dry, and soak up everything off the floor. I'd even clean and wax the floor. gotta get all the moisture out from underneath the carpet, or in a couple years you'll be smelling a musky odor, and when you look under the carpet you'll see alot of rust, especially where the seats bolt in. As for the dash electronics, perhaps a heatgun or hair dryer to help get rid of the moisture. Can't say enough about getting rid of the moisture on the floor. Had a 94 XJ years ago, and went through some deep water. Vacuumed out the carpet and left it go at that, about a year or so later, had a musky smell. Pulled the carpets and could not believe the rust on the floorpan.
