Did you install the GPS antenna.

The one I bought does not have the navigation/ GPS. Do I still need the special antenna?

It should be just plug and play. If the door opens/closes and the screen is not turning on, and it is indeed a HS unit, then you probably have a bad unit.

 

It's doing that because that's not a high speed radio, it's a low speed unit. I checked the part number on the tag against the list on wkjeeps.com, and it's definitely a low speed unit, so someone sold you the wrong radio.

 

Returned that unit... Thanks ebay.. Bought another from a different person..works great.. Plug and played, perfectly..even unlocked.. My son can watch movies while I drive
