Default HID Kit?

Is this really all I need to install an HID kit? Or is this a real HID kit would these give me more light output? Or would they just seem brighter but not really be brighter?

Or something similar are HID kits suppose to be that cheap?

This is exactly what you need. This will make a huge difference, both brighter and a wider beam. I have this system on my f350 truck and love them. I plan to put a set soon on my jeep. Just get the ones with the neutral color or slightly blue. Don't get too strong a color. I didn't notice if this offers high beam lights but I don't think you'll need them. I was offered them on my 350 but told it won't really work well. They were right, it is worthless because of the reflector I have in the headlights.

I did my head lamps and fog lights with DDM for $100. I've used them at work and on a lot of friends cars, they work great. Just call them so you get the right stuff. I used 35w, 4500k bulb so its not blue. WAY MORE LIGHT! With the stock headlamp buckets you will get a lot of light "thrown everywhere ", I have "angry eyes" tint across the top, so it helps. I have them in my light bar too, no problems beating them around and lot of playing in the water.

Not legal, not safe. Don't kid yourself into thinking that you can run them safely or without annoying other drivers ---- possibly endangering them or yourself.

How about heavily tinting the tops so that they don't glare upwards?

I asked my cop friend and he said that as long they aren't intimidating to other drivers and they arent a blueish color that he wouldn't pull me over unless it was a 6000k color, white color. In fact he has aftermarket HID on his camaro and his F150 lol if I go with a kit what kit would you guys recommend if I want to run 6000K? Which I could easily get replacement bulbs.

Would I still be able to use high beams when I need to see far away when offroading? The wording is confusing me

FAQ
"Do I loose my high beams? No, if your vehicle has two bulbs in each headlight, your high beam will work just the same. If your vehicle has 1 bulb that does low/high, our kits come with integrated bulb with low beam = HID and your high beam will be a regular halogen bulb. Yes, all in the same bulb! We are the only company that offers this!"

C'mon.

Read about it on Daniel Stern's website.

Your "cop friend" can't speak for all law enforcement officers, jurisdictions, or entities. There are many that take the law seriously.

So the IPF Housing plus a DDM tuning HID Kit would help with the glare? But then again what is this glare people are talking about wouldn't glare be due to the placement of light, currently the beam on my JK is very thin and there is a definite line wouldn't installing the HID kit just make the light brighter and not screw up the definite line like this guy? He used an HID kit with the stock housing. He just realigned his lights which is free?

At least the Delta reflector is legal but their blue bulbs are severe under-performers.

The IPF reflectors are not legal, perform poorly, and scatter light all over the place in an unusable fashion.

Search this forum and others for test data I've posted. The IPFs were the worst I tested.
