I always have question about headlights!
Hey guys, I am itching to blind some people on the road so its time for some headlight upgrades.
I asked awhile ago about the retrofits and I still am partial to them, but they are expensive. From what I have read, their light output is way above the rest if you are willing to pay the price.
I also like the customization aspect that truly makes them one of a kind and stand out.
With that said, I have found many other headlights that perform rather well, but have not seen any with higher lumens than the retros. So what are all you guys running? Is there a Show n Tell thread for headlights I haven't seen? If so, I'll delete this post. If there isn't can we get one going? Post em up!!
Lastly, can someone tell me what lights these are and how they perform? They are pretty sharp looking.
Thanks all.

That might be a first-gen Truck Lite, but looks like a couple of other entry-level LED headlight designs. DIY HID conversions can be cheap compared to many off the shelf LED lights, but you either need donor headlight housings or the guts and dedication to hack into your own housings. If you go this route, there are videos on YouTube walking you through the process. If you like the look of individual LEDs, then Off Road Additions has a new LED light out. I think the low beam looks just okay, probably fine for most people, but the high beam creates an egg-shaped hot spot that I do not like. For $325/pair you can't expect everything to be perfect.

I have a backorder for JW Speaker Evo 2s that should be shipping on Wednesday, but we'll see.

Thanks for mentioning our lights Terry.
As for the one in the pictures, that is a 51 watt off road led light. It is one kind that we sell, and it would be horrible as a headlight. There is no low/high and the beam pattern goes in a 360° pattern, so there is no cutoff. They look cool in that spot however they would only work for a trail rig.
Hope that helps!
