I found this wire harness hidden in the back of my JKU Sport S

Thats too high for the Sub Harness - I have the optional sub and the harness is on the floor not on the top as shown in the picture.

I've got the Max Towing package, so those wires are already down by the hitch. I really want to know if I can tap into 12 volt power through this.

There are more than two wires leading to this. I'll have to double check but there are about 6 metal leads inside the harness. I'm not at all electrically inclined. I'll take a volt meter to it later to see if any of the leads are hot with the Jeep on and off.

Subscribed. You got me wondering, also.

Subscribed. I was looking for a source for an outlet, but this seems to have too many wires. Optional speaker harness would be my guess. This is where it would be good to have an owner repair manual. They usually have wiring diagrams in them. Might have to go look for one on ebay.

This is the plug for the factory subwoofer and 12V outlet. I just found mine while I was installing an Orfab tire carrier. It was plugged into the harness that runs to the plastic housing for the subwoofer. You should be able to put a test light on it and find the pair that is powered.

Was looking at the wires for my subwoofer in my 2007 four door and it sounds like my sub is either out or not plugged in. How do I test the wires for the sub?

Did you confirm that this is indeed what the harness is? Were you able to find a part #?

Is this the harness for what would be a sub woofer and rear power outlet? And if it is, does anyone know if/how I can tap into it? Being relatively new here, do any of you know anyone more versed on this forum that I can run this question by?
If this is indeed for the factory sub, it is missing the amp that comes with the Infinity kit isn't it? Do you think there is even power there then? Has anyone confirmed any of this yet?
