I want a rear outlet. I planned to power it direct from the battery or a fuse tap. I don't have a sub woofer housing so I'm looking for places to install the 12 volt outlet. I remove the right rear panel and I find this.

Is this the harness for what would be a sub woofer and rear power outlet? And if it is, does anyone know if/how I can tap into it? Being relatively new here, do any of you know anyone more versed on this forum that I can run this question by?

This is the plug for the factory subwoofer and 12V outlet. I just found mine while I was installing an Orfab tire carrier. It was plugged into the harness that runs to the plastic housing for the subwoofer. You should be able to put a test light on it and find the pair that is powered.

You might have to install a fuse to get 12V power out of that connector. It does power the rear 12V power outlet that's in the factory sub housing, but I found this pic of the fuse box. I doubt they put that fuse in if the sub enclosure was not an original factory option.

The plug does contain 12 power for an outlet (Blue w/ red tracer = 12v Black = ground). It is switchable to either ACC or BATT by switching fuse M7 (in under hood fuse box) from side to side.
M7 is the same fuse that powers the 12v socket in the center console cubby.
I plan on installing a 12v socket in the rear, I just have to find the right place because the panel to body clearance is really shallow in some places.

The plug, as noted, provides 12VDC power to the accessory outlet attached to the sub enclosure. It also has four (4) wires for the subwoofer. The subwoofer is a dual 2 ohm speaker so it takes four wires (2 ground and 2 audio lines). As a side note, I would not power anything that takes more than an amp or two off the 12VDC circuit as the wires are really small.
