Default Increase size of speakers in dash??

I would like to go on record saying that I am absolutely ignorant of what is or isn't possible with speakers.

I have a sweet set of Memphis Audio speakers (used to be in my Grand Prix). I would like to put them in JK. One pair will fit either the dash or the sound bar. The other used to be behind my rear seat and are 6x9 (the rock like nothing else). I am wondering if it is possible to make a custom speaker mount in the front dash to put in a pair of 6x9 speakers.

Any thoughts?

Default Not even snide remarks?

C'mon?? Not even a snide or sarcastic comment to tell me I am douche and should learn more about sound systems?

I am honestly curious about this, can you custom a bracket to put a 6x9 speaker in the dash?

The front speakers are mounted in plastic enclosures. The enclosures are made for 6 3/4" speakers. Not much more. You could remove the box entirely and fabricate your own speaker mount but they will be hanging in free air. Other than that you are stuck with 6 3/4" or smaller.

The passenger side box is the easiest to remove. It takes about 20 minutes. Search here. There are a lot or write ups on speaker replacement. Take out the box and look at your mounting options.

Default needing more?

I tell ya...I put 2 sets of Polk Momo 6.5" components (with larger 2" tweeters on the dash and in the sound bar) and a 1000W PPI Amp under my false floor I made, and if it were any louder, my EARS would bleed...

For 6x9 speakerYou will need to slightly modify some metalwork.
