Brilliant idea! Thanks! I'm moving so I won't be using this now but will keep it in mind in the future. I'd always have to lock my openner up then when I got home I realized it's still locked in the glove box, so I'd have to shut the car off to unlock the glove box lol. The lock on the glove box doesn't seem to be too complicated, I'm sure there's a solution for that too!

Nice Mod, except it seems you may have overlooked one thing.

Since you were soldering, cutting wire and such. You could have cut the battery wires for the remote and tapped it into your JKs electrical so you never have to worry about replacing the battery. With that opener zip tied in there, it looks like replacing the battery is not possible without cutting the zip tie and then remount.

I was thinking about the same things about the zip tie, but consider either hard wiring, with fused line, or just using Velcro to secure it.

Excellent Mod and a great starting point for all to expand upon.

Thanks Canibeat!!! I had the same problem, that's why I did this.

Thanks! I am going to do that, but I'm not too familiar with using resistors. I need to look into what resistor to use to drop it to 9v from 12v. As soon as I figure it out, I'll snip the zip tie and open her up one last time. It will be an easy issue to fix when I get to it.
