Default Installing New Map Update Disk

Has anyone installled the new Navteq update disk for the MyGig? (Yes, it is outrageously priced, but what is the alternative?) I received the disk, but there were no instructions on how to do the update. I checked the MyGig owner's manual that came with my JK, bu I see nothing there on how to install either other than a warning to be sure to follow the instructions tha come with the update disk. I inserted the disk, but nothing happens. There does no appear to be any self-install procedure as with the software updates, and I see nothing in the Navigation menu on an installation procedure.

Anyone have a clue how to do the installation?

try hitting the menu button. On the regular menu screen it has the audio controls sirius/xm traffic. There should be one that says nav update. I have not purchased the update yet. Try hitting it. I remember it saying to have your vin number handy. I don't know if you have tried this but that is all i can think of.

Which version of the software are you running? You have to have upgraded your mygig to at least 9.713 (I think that was the upgrade) to be able to install the new maps.

I see that button, but all it does is tell you how to order the update, not how to install it. Anyone else have any ideas?

I thought you put the disk in, hit that button, and it loaded?
I will find out for you next week at the latest.
