Default Interior lights to dim!!!

Anyone have any aftermarket interior lights. At night time when I turn them on I can't see anything!!! I have been thinking about popping off the cover of the light and rigging some LEDs in there or installing them in the sound bar. Not too sure yet what I want to do. Any ideas or write-ups?

I actually just upgraded my interior lights after I saw what a buddy of mine did with his. In my JKU it cost all of $35 and the amount of light they now throw is amazing!! They are called "Type S" or "S Type". It is a LED board that has 20 individual LED's on them. Picked them up from autozone. It comes with an "adapter" bulb that you plug I to where the normal bulb would go, has a wire that comes off and plugs into the LED board. The LED board rests nicely in the dome cover, and seems to disperse the light even more than the stock bulb. It's also a hell of a lot brighter!! Each set-up is about $17 before taxes (only need one if you have a 2-door). They don't seem that bright in the store, but believe me when I say these work amazing.

I ordered a kit from North Ridge 4x4, It was like 25 for my JKU. IT makes a WORLD of difference.

Also got mine from Northridge4X4.

Putco JK 2010-14, 4 Door, LED Dome Light Replacement Kit - 980295

Im sure there are cheaper options. They are super bright so hoping the JK's have a dimmer switch to turn it down

Do the Putco's put out a lot of heat? Is there any modification required to get them to work or fit correctly?

LED's generally don't put off a lot of heat.

X2. Give it a shot. Cheap mod but looks cool and great functionality.
