Default iPod Touch/iPhone Integration?

Hey folks,

Recently ordered an iPod touch.. and I was wondering if any of you have found a mount that works well in the JK. One that would swivel vertically and horizontally would be awesome, as the iPod Touch rotates to offer widescreen viewing.

Thanks for any help!

Go to the iPod store at www.apple.com and you'll find this:

why would you swivel the ipod to watch a video? I have an iPhone with a simple mount next to my radio. I'll take a picture if I get the chance tonight for you.

I'm talking about the iPod Touch. The latest iPod that you can rotate for viewing movies, TV Shows and to scroll through your tunes using Coverflow.

Go to the Apple Website and take a look.. it's much like the iPhone without the phone.

Believe me I know what it is and more then what it is capable of doing. My question is why would you want to watch a movie on it while driving? It is not screen you want out of arms reach for watching a flick. IMO get a fixed virtical mount, much mor secure. There is a thread on here I used to bulid a little metal bracket, it tooksmaybe all of 20 mins to do and then buy a $10 iPod mount from best buy. My poist is, there is no need to have it flip while mounted in your Jeep.

Thanks.. but, the reason I want it to flip isn't during driving.. the screen is big enough for decent viewing if it's sitting around the stereo.. I've seen some DVD decks that have a 3.5 and it works fine.

The reason I want one that swivels is for the GF and I when we're sitting having a coffee.. we can catch up on the shows we like to watch in the Jeep. We spend a lot of time in the Jeep right now for away time from our living situation.

Thanks for the advice.. but, I'd really like to be able to view it horizontally.

Do a search on the IPhone and it will give you a swivel clip. There is also a a pretty neat mounting solution that will put it at the upper left part of your radio.

Griffin TuneFlex AUX w/Dock Connector for iPod

Search for that, I got mine from Amazon. It charges your iPod, has an AUX jack so you dont need to use the headphone out, holds the iPod up at eye level and it swivels back and forth, while holding the iPod securely. I have an iPod touch I use it with and it works GREAT! Sounds SO MUCH BETTER than the headphone out too, and the volume will be direct out, so no turning the radio way up to hear it.
