Isn't the off button for ESP suppose to shut it off

I was wheeling yesterday and tried this..and indeed it works as described. If you hit ESP OFF it will show the slide icon, but if you press and hold it for 5+ seconds, it will actually say "ESPOFF" where it normally displays your mileage. At least in my Rubi..in 4hi
