Jeep JKU Kicker Stage 3 kit OR??????
I'd like to upgrade the sound in my Jeep and looking for some real world feedback. I have a 14 JKU that had the base 130 unit and I upgraded to the 430N. From my research here i've come up with 3 options in my budget of $1000
1. Upgrade the front and sound bar speakers to the stock Boston Acoustics that some people here rave about. Add the 4 channel mopar kicker amp (Jeep Wrangler 4-Door Kicker 4.1 Amplifier Kit #77KCK053 )
2. STAGE III KICKER Sound System Upgrade Kit #77KPK311
Looks like a very simple plug and play install. Adds an amp and a sub woofer and 4 speakers, Does anyone here have any input on this mopar kit?
3. Amp and line out converter and subwoofer from my local stereo shop....I would still need to add 4 speakers later though. Installer says I can upgrade in stages.
I know that lots of people here keep saying to go aftermarket on everything but I like the stock head unit and a stock look. I'd like some real feedback on these kits above, how much better than stock does it sound etc.
Any help would be appreciated. Ken

I know you don't want to hear it but....
4) cash in the 430 and go aftermarket.
Options 1-3 are putting lipstick on a pig. You will be overspending on all of those choices because you will just be amplifying poor sound quality.

I just finished a complete aftermarket install last week on my jk. Kenwood DVD with nav, Rockford p2 10 inch sub, jbl replacement speakers. 750x1 Rockford for the sub and a 400x4 for the mids and highs. It is night and day over the factory infinity system! I recommend going aftermarket
