Default Jeep quit automatically locking the doors

Forever, my jeep has locked the power doors once I've hit some predetermined road speed (maybe 15mph??)

Anyway, the other weekend it just quit doing it. The doors now just stay unlocked. I haven't had any trouble or anything at all with the vehicle.

The key fob still works, the power lock switches on the doors still work, the doors still lock and unlock like normal, just the rig doesn't lock them by itself any more.

Is this bizarre randomness or is something else going on maybe?

Mine forgets sometimes, but it doesn't bother me truly. If I drive into an area that I need them locked I am packing anyway.

Yeah, I mean I'm not really bugged about it. I always thought it was a safety thing, but who knows. And I roll heavy too: I've had my CCW for a few years now

It's funny how something can work one way for 3 years and then just all of a sudden not.

I think it automatically detects when you're driving in a safe/low crime area..

Mine doesn't automatically lock them either anymore unless i have just gotten so accustomed to hearing them lock that i just simply don't notice it anymore.

...But im pretty sure they just dont lock and its not being tuning it out

Exclamation

To return to topic:

Take a look in the owners manual. There's a "dance" sequence that turns that feature on and off, maybe you accidentally turned it off?

If you don't know what I mean by "dance" it's something like turn the ignition on 3 times, lock the door, stand on your head, whistle a tune, and it dings.

I'm trying to turn it off right now by doing the "dance," but with no luck.

I have also tried to turn mine off by "dancing" and have failed miserably.

I hate the doors locking automatically!
