Default Jeep radio in a Dodge?!

Alright guys I just put a new radio in my 08 Unlimited good stuff right? Well my dad's got a 02 dodge ram 1500 and me and him were wondering if we can put the stock radio from the jeep into his dodge? Could it work?! Has anyone tried it?! Any help would be great!

Most likely not, I'm not sure as I did zero research before posting this, but I had an 03 Ram 1500 which had the same radio as your dads Ram. The 08 jeeps have a completely different set up if I recall. Someone care to chime in?

Definitely not a direct fit, if you go to metraonline.com or any other supplier of radio wiring harnesses you will see that the wiring harness adapters are two different part numbers for both vehicles.

You have to make sure you are matching the correct can bus speed. A slow won't work in a fast and vice versa
