The buckets changed on the 2012. Most importantly the airbag sensors are no longer easy to move. I am told that an extension ring will make it work and with the ring no grinding or very little grinding is needed to fit them.

I hate to say this because my research makes me know better but that 50ft shot at the wall is the first jw pic that makes me wonder if I want them. I'm looking at it on my phone so I'm sure it is partly that and partly the exposure. Just goes to show how cameras can distort the truth. I can't wait to get a pair.

Nice lights. I went with the rally lights harness and Hella lens set up. I'm going to be running Phillips extreme whites but if I'm not satisfied I'll be giving you a PM for these. Great pics!

I would have to let the owners speak to how much heat they put off but they have a fan that blows heat from the led array onto the lens for cold weather climates. I don't think it would be a problem from my experience and the fact that many trucklite owners report no problems with ice. I assume that's why you want the heat.

I have run my solstice pods into -50f with zero problems. I have not heard any reports with icing from the many truckers that run led lights up the haul road and they can see the worst snow storms/blows and -70 on the same trip. I honestly think the whole icing thing is way overblown. I do understand the hesitancy due to the price point. They are steep.

I think over time LED lights will come down in price and the technology will get better. They will eventually be the standard

It's not too bad. I have a 2012 Rubicon with JW Speakers and it was the first install I did, the night I brought it home. I never even turned on the factory lamps. There is grinding, but not a ton. And you do need to rotate the airbag sensor, but again, not a big deal.

This is a very easy install. If I can do it ... nobody has an excuse :-). Here's a pic with the Vision-X fogs.

Here's a pic of the pattern. It looks like this on the road, too, but it's great. Best mod I've done to my JKUR.

Not really. The LEDs are not the expensive part. Actually the LEDs are actually cheaper than the bulbs used in HIDs. The expensive part is the projector assembly and R&D... which price is not coming down anytime soon. Also there are acouple cars that already have LED headlights as OEM equipment.

The projectors on my G37 coupe cost 842 dollars each from the dealer.

They do make LED headlights (Trucklites) that do not have projectors and are a good bit cheaper (500 dollars). Still a great amount of light but you dont get the clear cut off lines from the JW Speakers.

The output is fantastic, nice clean line and the color is about the same as the BMW Hid's

Sorry for the crappy pics they were from a cell phone
