Why carry a big Ravelco plug when you can have a little wireless chip that gives the same if not better security? And you dont have the risk of forgetting the Ravelco plug plugged in the Jeep... PM me for more info...10-4.

No more switch to think to turn off when leaving, and nothing to carry in your pockets...
I'm neither a security expert or a competent thief, so opinions from either welcome Its not just the security device (plug or chip) it's how it is wired and how easy to override. The chip sounds great, but is it wired as comprehensively as Ravelco ?

From other threads, the chipped key that comes stock from Jeep is apparently easy to override.

I brought it to a local shop here and they couldn't figure it out on how to correctly do it. they were going to make me hit my window switch before i was able to start it. I would love to see some of the other ideas

I know how hard it would be to override the wireless security system.

Yes, as always, just like a kill switch, everything depends on where you put the switch...

So I guess the trick would be to install your switch in a well hidden place... (kinda obvious when I think about it...)
And with the wireless system it's even easier since you dont have additional cables that go to and from the hidden "box"...

You'll always have to measure your risk potential...
You dont use the same kind of padlock on a 100$ bike versus a 2000$ bike...
Same thing...

And measure the rick versus benefits factor...
If you dont want to get your Jeep stolen and are ok with having some kind of big fat plug in your pockets, go for it... (dont forget to remove it EVERYTIME you get off the Jeep...)
If you dont want to carry that plug, and dont want to care about connecting/disconnecting it all the time, buy a wireless system...

And if you're worried about the wireless data stream's security, no problem here, these are private frequencies and everything is encrypted.

10-4.
When you say wireless system like who , and how are we just talking ignition, or total alarm when someone reaches in with the top off?

I'm kind of with OP here. I park at the airport and leave town for a week or three. I would like to put a switch in that will disable the Jeep. I wouldn't use it every day. I would only reach for it before I walked away to board a flight or right after I landed. It would be a simple $2 switch to kill the ignition, fuel pump, etc. A pro or prepared thief will be ready to pop the doors, bypass the imbedded chip in the key and defeat the steering wheel lock. If I can basically unplug every spark plug it's not going anywhere. It won't be pretty but it will be where I left it.

Is there a wire within reach of the drivers seat to disable the ignition, fuel, or any other various circuit to render the Jeep unable to run? What color?

I have a little switch who´s interrupting 12V to the fuel pump. The switch is "somewhere" in a cabin.
I´ve cut one of wires in a harnes to the tank. I don´t remember what color but I can look in a wire diagram

You can get a battery disconnect and a hood lock. Takes a little time but should be secure.

Sorry for delay.

Just cut the sensor groud wire - Dark blue/yellow or dark blue/orange(+),up to you.
Both wires you will find in the main harness on the right side frame rail.
