Default Led halo drl help!

I’ve wired my halo lights through a fuse tap into a power on fuse (M2 I think) and they only stay on when I’m in park. Once I shift out of park the HALO DRLs disengage and the entire headlight turns on for DRL. Even when the headlight switch is on the off setting.

Additionally, when I turn the headlights to on or AUTO the headlights are on different settings. Almost as if in the ON position they’re in low beam and on the AUTO position they’re in High and Low.

Any suggestions?

You need to disable DRL in the computer, this can be done with a programmer. What does the fuse you tapped normally power? If you do not have heated seats, the fuse position for them can be a good place to use a fuse tap, otherwise I will use the front 12V acc circuit.

I had tapped into M7 and M8. M8 was an empty power slot. But looks like I’ll need to get a programmer. Any suggestions? We were going to look for a switch or relay coming off the shifter. Is that not necessary?
