I just installed them today. I got them in but it seems it doesn't line up perfectly. I hope they stay in, they seem to be solid, we'll see.

A "whiter" light does not necessarily mean that there is "more" light. I can't speak to this product, but I just installed some LEDs in the dome lights, thinking it would improve interior lighting. The light is whiter but I don't believe there are more lumens.

If you go to the Rebel link for the product mentioned and look at the magnified picture, the factory light looks brighter to me. If the goal is to be seen, there is no question the LEDs are better. But if the goal is to illuminate the road/trail, then I'd like to see specs that prove more light is being cast. Also, the reflectors are meant for a focal light source. If the LED unit has multiple LEDs, the beam may not be focused properly. That is a particularly important issue for headlights; simply replacing the bulb with LED may not improve and, as has been pointed out in other posts, may earn you a ticket.
