LIFETIME LED offroad (dually) lights quest
I ran across these lights and was wondering if anybody has tried them yet? They look like a similar build to the rigid industries duallys. Only thing I noticed was 5 LED instead of 4 & a different lens cover, & 1/3 of the price. I'd really appreciate any input.
Unbelievable prices. $40.00!

Don't look like they are near the quality of the Rigids. Just replaced the KC Daylighters on my Sport this week with the D2 Driving lights. I think they were worth it. Gonna put some Rigids on my boat in a few weeks.

there are 6 led ones that look a lot better and well constructed on eBay got $43 each. I wrote a thread on them and review about a week ago

I know that the Rigid LEDs throw a lot of lumens; the same or more than incandescent bulbs (so they look brighter when you look at them), but where I'm a bit "stuck" on a decision of LED vs incandescent is whether the LEDs actually illuminate a distant object (like 1/4 mile of road) as well as the incandescent lights. I've seen several posts that suggest that they do not, but would be interested in your experience now that you replaced your lights with the D2's.
And yes, I would agree that the old saying "you get what you pay for" applies to Rigid vs. Made In China; good luck once the warranty runs out (or even getting replacement during warranty).

LED's are great for focused beams. But that is the underlying problem with LED's. They need special lenses, or lights pointed in slightly different directions to give you the same coverage that you can get from a single incandescent or HID lamp.
Thanks, ill check it out.

I'd guess that if you mount them on your A pillar and break them, it would probably do some damage to the big thing next to them called a windshield too
I do agree with you thought, all of the led lights have a problem with long rage still. nothing beats an HID spotlight for distance
the "made in china" ones are 1/3 of the price with a 1 year warranty. speaking about products only and not business practices, Pioneer, jvc, iPhones and all those other Chinese and Asian brands make great products right?

Ok, so I finally pulled the trigger. I bought two of the dually style led lights & a 20" double row LED bar for $329.99 shipped. Originally I was planning on spending about $200.00 on another pair of duallys, but decided to get a 20" light bar for the money. That's gonna be a lot of light for the money!
Also I started looking because somebody said they had a 1 year warranty. With a name like LIFETIME LED I thought that was odd. It's not true, they are lifetime warranty. This is what I found. :
Our warranty is what sets us apart from the rest. We believe that you are entitled to a great product, at a great price, without having to worry about it, ever. We have a LIFETIME warranty on the LEDs in our lights. No need to read fine print, or wonder what limited lifetime means.
We will replace or repair your light if any of the LEDs fail. As an added bonus, if you order a light and do not like it, you have 7 business days to return it for a full refund plus we will pay return shipping (must be in original packaging, in new condition). All returns handled here in the USA, Farmington, NY
That was good enough for me
