Default Light switch

I just recently recieved piaa 540's for my windshield and I don't like the switch. Does anyone know If I can easily swap it out for one that I can flush mount into the a-pillar. I took the switch apart and it appears that there are three wires (Red, black, and white) that connect to like a circuit board inside the switch.

Yeah it wouldn't be a problem at all. You can put whatever switch you want.

How would I do it? Just cut the connected switch off, then reattach the 3 wires to a new switch?

Also, most light kits say you have to tie the switch power to the high beam positive wire? Is this necessary or can I hook straight to the battery and independently control the lights with the switch?

Just go straight to the battery and control independently. I think some states require that they be tied to the high beams or something but I don't think you'd ever have any issues that way....
