Default Lights ON?

Came out this morning to find my LED A-Pillar lights turned on, I figured that it must have gotten bumped on accidentally. I went to turn them off and found that my otrattw switch was in the OFF position, so now I'm at a loss..

About a month ago I found that my pillar lights would not turn on so I chased all my wires and connections only to find that the relay was the problem. Digging through my extra parts bin I found that I had a relay so I swapped it out and it fixed my problem, it functioned like it normally did.

But...Today has me totally stumped.. I pulled the fuse off so that I can shut the light off..

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated..

thanks in advance,
Augi

You might have a bad relay. That is the only thing I can think of.

I would try doing an ohm or continuity check. I am not that savvy on electrical but that is my best guess.

Check to see if you have power coming off of pin 86. Here is schematic that might help.

Try swapping the switch with one of the other switches. It could be internally shorted in the switch. Another issue could be that pins 1 and 2 on the switch are swapped ( but this probably is not you issue since it just happened).

Finally had a chance to check the relay.. well I tapped it with a mallet it would works here and there, so I bought another relay tonight to replace it. It works as it should now.
